Partnerships

Performins Canada Inc. is one of the fastest growing insurance distributors in Canada. We offer independent advisors and small distribution companies the opportunity to exit into a financially stronger position and enduring form.

While Industry Partners continue to raise volume requirements in order to maintain dealership status, Performins has built a strong and direct relationship with them. As a smaller MGA, you can take advantage of this relationship and offer your advisors financial security.

Partnering with Performins means:

  • Financial strength and stability
  • Investment capital for technology
  • Timely and effective exit strategies
  • Partnership opportunities for MGA owners
  • Financial rewards when dealing with carriers
  • Access to a full list of suppliers
  • Full company representation
  • Access to our leading edge software platform that provides a complete solution for the life insurance distribution network
  • Improved advisor support and service
  • Accurate and efficient turn-around

To date Performins has partnered with:

Pinnacle Financial

Asgar Ali, founder of Pinnacle Financial started his career in the Caribbean as an insurance advisor. He later came to Canada and enjoyed a successful career in sales, sales management and ultimately took the leap at Halifax Life to start his own MGA with NN Financial in 1991.  As a master recruiter, looking to help new advisors, Asgar built a great agency that was accepting of entrepreneurship. Asgar sold his agency to Performins in 2004 and continues to work with his personal clients to this day.  We at Performins value Asgar’s legacy but more importantly appreciate his ongoing support.

Albanese Financial Group

Sam Albanese, founder of Albanese Financial Group is anything but ordinary. Sam had a long history with Halifax Life and when they decided to go the MGA route, he saw nothing but opportunity.  Sam through the 1990’s was a fundamental leader in the MGA business. He consistently led in many markets and was a master recruiter to the new channel. In 2004 Sam sold his agency to Performins Canada Inc. and since 2005 he has worked extensively with Seneca College to create a highly needed, new advisor-training program.

Wise Riddell Financial Group

Julian Wise, Kevin Riddell, and David Stewart were partners of Wise Riddell Financial Group, while David Bumstead was the managing partner of Wise Riddell Financial Group (Barrie) Limited. The company was known as a boutique that worked with high net worth advisors. Julian and Kevin were exclusive personal producers and David Stewart was the managing partner. Julian and Kevin were convinced they needed to continue to build their own private practices and acknowledged that David could not take the company to the next level alone, so they merged with Performins in 2005.  Julian and Kevin have continued to build their practices to unprecedented levels and David Stewart was able to take the helm at Performins as Senior VP Sales and Marketing. David Bumstead continues to own and operate Wise Riddell Barrie through its strong ongoing affiliation with Performins Canada Inc.

The Leading Edge

Edgar DeSouza started his career with New York Life where he learned to be a professional advisor and continued to excel even after the sale of New York Life to Canada Life.  With demutualization, Edgar saw Canada Life move to the MGA channel and took on the job when no one else would. He saw opportunity where people saw none and built The Leading Edge, one of the highest quality MGA’s in the Canada Life marketplace.  However, being an advisor at heart, Edgar sold his agency to Perfomins in 2005, allowing him to pursue his personal practice to this very day.

Millennium Financial

Perry Villanueva, had one mission only when he founded Millennium Financial in 1997 and that was to help new advisors become successful. His agency was made up of exclusively his recruits and his passion to see them prosper is where he found his success and satisfaction. Perry made advisor’s dreams become reality. In 2009 however, Perry realized that he could no longer divide his time between being principal of Millennium Financial and training new advisors, so he joined Performins. Now Perry’s true talents are being fully utilized as he solely spends his time helping and training new advisors.
